About the project
Busby Auctioneers is a fine art auction house in Bridport, Dorset. Situated on the Jurassic Coast, the auction house has developed a national client base through fine art and specialist sales.
I was brought in as Head of Fashion to lead the biannual specialist fashion sales and elevate communications. Alongside heading the cataloguing and researching of all textile consignments, I delivered strategic social campaigns and effective digital copy.
The auction industry has undergone a massive shift to digital platforms since Busby opened in 2013. It was essential to audit the company’s digital presence to build a nationwide network of clients.
Results
Within one month, I’d increased Instagram profile visits by 1114%. I led a specialist 800+ lot fashion sale, breaking auction records for rare historical item, and resulting in the most profitable specialist fashion sale in Busby’s history.
